we carefully descended into valleys,
we lazily strolled amongst old friends for picnics and cool wood breezes,
we danced and toasted for a long awaited celebration,
we went on slow twilight bike rides with long talks,
we rushed to meet deadlines,
we woke up early for miles of riding,
we reflected on the force and currents of life and water,
we rewarded hard work with good food,
we enjoyed simple pleasures and small town airport diners,
we are ready to accept the new challenges and surprises of this summer.

Amen sister. Speaking of summer, it was in the low 50's and rainy here. They were talking about "wind chill" and possible snow tonight during the noon news.
